Marriage is one of the most significant milestones in life, but for many deserving families, financial challenges can make this important occasion difficult to arrange. To help ease this burden and promote social welfare, Madinah Foundation, operating under the umbrella of The University of Faisalabad (TUF), successfully organised a grand Mass Marriages Program for 35 deserving couples in Faisalabad.

The initiative reflects Madinah Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting underprivileged communities, empowering families, and creating opportunities for individuals to begin their married lives with dignity and confidence.

A Noble Initiative for Deserving Families

The Mass Marriages Program was organised with the objective of assisting deserving families who face financial constraints in arranging marriage ceremonies for their children. By bringing multiple couples together under one roof, the initiative reduced financial pressure while ensuring that every couple received the support needed to start their new journey.

The event served as a shining example of compassion, community support, and collective responsibility. It also highlighted the importance of social welfare programs in strengthening family values and promoting social harmony within society.

Distinguished Guests Attend the Ceremony

The collective wedding ceremony was held at a local marriage hall in Faisalabad and was attended by respected community members, university officials, faculty members, students, and family members of the newlywed couples.

Commissioner Faisalabad Division, Ms Musarrat Jabeen, attended the event as the chief guest. While addressing the gathering, she praised the efforts of Madinah Foundation and acknowledged its valuable contributions to various philanthropic and welfare initiatives.

She emphasised that rising inflation has increased the financial burden on many households, making collective marriage programs an important source of relief for deserving families. She further stated that such initiatives not only provide financial assistance but also promote dignity, respect, and social inclusion.

Religious Ceremony and Blessings for the Newlyweds

Renowned religious scholar Qari Niaz Ahmad solemnised the marriages and led special prayers for the newlywed couples. During the ceremony, he highlighted the importance of marriage in Islam and encouraged the couples to build their lives on the principles of mutual respect, understanding, patience, and compassion.

Special prayers were offered for the happiness, prosperity, and long-term success of all 35 couples as they embarked on their new journey together.

Address by the Rector of The University of Faisalabad

Rector of The University of Faisalabad, Prof. Dr Aman Ullah Malik, congratulated the newly married couples and their families. In his address, he reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to serving society through impactful community welfare projects.

He highlighted the importance of supporting deserving families and stressed that educational institutions should play an active role in addressing social challenges. He also appreciated the dedication of the Madinah Foundation in creating opportunities that improve the quality of life for underprivileged members of society.

Welfare Support Through Dowry Packages and Gifts

As part of the support provided under the Mass Marriages Program, Madinah Foundation presented dowry packages and special gifts to each bride. These packages included essential household items aimed at helping couples establish their homes and begin married life with greater ease.

The distribution of these welfare packages reflected the Foundation’s mission of empowering families and ensuring that financial limitations do not become barriers to important life events.

Community Participation and Volunteer Support

One of the most inspiring aspects of the event was the active involvement of faculty members, deans, administrative staff, and students from various departments of The University of Faisalabad.

Their collective efforts played a vital role in planning, organising, and managing the ceremony. From logistical arrangements to guest management and event coordination, volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the program.

This strong collaboration demonstrated the university’s commitment to community engagement and showcased how educational institutions can contribute positively to social development.

Grand Dinner for More Than 1,500 Guests

To celebrate the joyous occasion, a special dinner was arranged for more than 1,500 guests. Family members, relatives, community leaders, university representatives, and well-wishers gathered to share in the happiness of the newlywed couples.

The gathering created an atmosphere of unity, gratitude, and celebration, bringing together people from different backgrounds to support a meaningful social cause.

Emotional Moments of Gratitude and Appreciation

The ceremony concluded with heartfelt scenes as parents and family members expressed their sincere gratitude to Madinah Foundation. Many families shared that the initiative had lifted a significant financial burden and enabled their children to begin married life with dignity and respect.

The smiles, prayers, and words of appreciation from the beneficiaries reflected the positive impact of the program and highlighted the importance of continued community welfare efforts.
